Hithem Rahmi, DO, an orthopedic surgeon, joined Geisinger Gray's Woods in Matilda, Pa., according to The Sentinel.
Here are four things to know:
1. Dr. Rahmi focuses on treating athletic injuries as well as knee, shoulder and elbow pain. He also performs ultrasound-guided injections.
2. In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Rahmi is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, American Osteopathic Academy of Orthopaedics and American Osteopathic Association.
3. Before joining Geisinger Gray's Woods, Dr. Rahmi completed a fellowship in shoulder and elbow surgery at Los Angeles-based Kerlan-Jobe Orthopaedic Clinic where he worked with the Los Angeles Dodgers, Kings, Ducks and Rams athletes.
4. Dr. Rahmi earned his doctor of osteopathic medicine degree at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, where he also completed his residency.
