The Michigan Board of Osteopathic Medicine and Surgery permanently revoked Larry Nassar's medical license and fined him $1 million, wlns.com reports.
Here are four things to know.
1. Mr. Nassar had his license temporarily revoked in January 2017.
2. Michigan Attorney General Bill Schuette filed a second administrative complaint against the disgraced former physician based on his criminal sexual conduct convictions, spokeswoman Andrea Bitely said in a statement.
"We did this because under the first administrative complaint, we couldn't get a permanent revocation of Nassar's medical license (because of the limitations in the Public Health Code)," she explained.
3. Mr. Nassar is serving a 60-year federal sentence on three child pornography convictions. He was also sentenced to decades in prison for sexually assaulting nine women. The Attorney General's Office prosecuted Mr. Nassar on the sexual assault charges, the Lansing State Journal reports.
4. Mr. Nassar molested 265 girls and women over two decades under the guise of medical treatment.
