The Orthopedic Sports Medicine Center of Atlanta is expanding with a new location in Sandy Springs, Ga., the Sandy Springs Patch reports.
The Sandy Springs office will provides diagnosis, treatment and management of sports injuries and musculoskeletal disorders.
Board-certified orthopedic surgeon Alonzo Sexton, MD, began seeing patients at the new location April 10. He will serve as head of the practice.
Dr. Sexton specializes in operative and nonoperative treatments for sports-related injuries. He is particularly interested in minimally invasive arthroscopic treatment and robotic knee resurfacing. .
Prior to joining the Orthopedic Sports Medicine Center of Atlanta, Dr. Sexton served as a team physician for the University of Georgia in Athens and as a team physician for the New York Jets.
