Neal ElAttrache, MD, performed arthroscopic knee surgery on Oklahoma Thunder guard Russell Westbrook's right knee, NBA.com reports.

1. Mr. Westbrook's knee will be reevaluated in about a month.
2. Mr. Westbrook experienced inflammation in his knee over the weekend.
3. The team, Mr. Westbrook and his representation determined a proactive surgery would be the best course of action.
4. Dr. ElAttrache is an orthopedic surgeon at Cedars-Sinai Kerlan-Jobe Institute in Los Angeles. He is the Kerlan-Jobe Orthopaedic Foundation board chairman and program director for the Kerlan-Jobe fellowship. He is the president of the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine.
5. Dr. ElAttrache is the head team physician for the Los Angeles Dodgers and Los Angeles Rams. He is also an orthopedic consultant to the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, Los Angeles Clippers, Los Angeles Kings, Anaheim Ducks and the PGA Tour.
