Christopher Ahmad, MD, will operate on Boston Red Sox pitcher Nathan Eovaldi's right elbow, MLB.com reports.
What you should know:
1. Dr. Ahmad will perform an arthroscopic surgery on Mr. Eolvadi's elbow to remove loose bodies.
2. The Red Sox expect Mr. Eovaldi will be out for four to six weeks.
3. Mr. Eovaldi previously had a similar procedure in March 2018, as a member of the Tampa Bay Rays.
4. Dr. Ahmad is an orthopedic surgeon at New York City-based NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital. He is the head team physician for the New York Yankees and New York City Football Club.
