New York City-based NYU Langone is expanding its sports medicine and women's health program with The Center for Women's Sports Health.
Pediatric orthopedic surgeon Cordelia Carter, MD, is spearheading the center, which provides orthopedic surgery, sports medicine and rehabilitation services, among others.
Physicians will offer treatment for injuries commonly seen in females, including knee and shoulder injuries, hip labral tears and concussion.
Dr. Carter, clinical associate professor in the department of orthopedic surgery at NYU Langone, said the center is "dedicated to bringing athlete-centered care to women at every point in their active lives."
