Pittsburgh Steelers head orthopedic surgeon joins AOSSM hall of fame

James Bradley, MD, head orthopedic surgeon of the Pittsburgh Steelers, was inducted into the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine's hall of fame, according to a July 19 tweet from the team.

Dr. Bradley was a past president for the AOSSM, according to his practice website. He has been head team orthopedic surgeon for the Steelers for more than 30 years and is a past president of the National Football League Physicians Society.

Dr. Bradley has published 156 peer-reviewed articles for medical journals and 54 textbook chapters. In 2019, he won the Arthur C. Rettig Award for excellence in academic research given by the National Football League Physicians Society.
