716 Health, a $63 million orthopedics and sports medicine medical and surgical complex based in Amherst, N.Y., is set to open in the upcoming months, according to a July 11 report from The Buffalo News.
The complex is 160,000 square feet, sits on 15 acres of land and is meant to be the "one-stop-shop for orthopedics," Paul Ciminelli, president and CEO of developer Ciminelli Real Estate Corp., told The Buffalo News.
University at Buffalo Medical Doctors Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine and UBMD General Surgery are due to open in August. The orthopedics and sports medicine space will cover 50,000 square feet on one floor, and the general surgery will cover 25,000 square feet.
Space for Great Lakes Medical Imaging and UBMD Radiology will cover 16,000 square feet and open in early September. Lastly, a 39,000-square-foot ASC operated by UBMD and Buffalo-based Kaleida Health physicians and a 30,000 square-foot General Physician primary care office will open in Spring 2024, according to the report.
The complex developed out of the need for one site for various outpatient, orthopedic care specialists and services. It is estimated to have 445 employees working daily to provide care for 205 patients per hour, according to the report.
