Orthopedic surgeons and sports medicine physicians Jan Fronek, MD, Daniel Keefe, MD, and Heinz Hoenecke, MD, of the San Diego-based Scripps Clinic recently performed arthroscopic knee surgery on the San Diego Padres third baseman Chase Headley, according to a Sports Illustrated report.
The surgeons performed the surgery to address a torn medial meniscus in the player's left knee. The player is expected to need four to six weeks to recover from the procedure.
