Peter DeLuca, MD, an orthopedic surgeon at the Rothman Institute in Philadelphia, recently performed surgery on Philadelphia Eagles safety Nate Allen's ruptured right patellar tendon, according to a Philadelphia Inquirer news report.
Dr. DeLuca is the team physician for the Eagles. Mr. Allen was injured this past Sunday and faces a six-month or more recovery. Dr. DeLuca is also the head team orthopedic surgeon for the Philadelphia Flyers.
