Lubbock (Texas) Sports Medicine is partnering with the West Texas Sports Medicine Society and Post High School to set up a scholarship in honor of Lubbock Cooper Independent School District athletic trainer Brooke Parker, the Lubbock Avalanche-Journal reports.
Here's what you need to know.
1. Ms. Parker died in a car crash Nov. 7, 2016.
2. The bracelets will raise funds for a scholarship in Ms. Parker's honor.
3. Clinical outreach coordinator Mendy Wyatt with Lubbock Sports Medicine said the idea was develop to pay tribute to Ms. Parker "who touched many lives through her work."
