Orthopedic surgeon Hailey Dizay, DO, is joining the orthopedic, surgical and sports medicine team at Garden Grove, Calif.-based Healthpointe.
Here's what you should know.
1. Dr. Dizay treats fractures, swelling, bruising and sports related injuries among others.
2. Dr. Dizay subspecializes in arthroscopic and minimally invasive reconstructive surgery.
3. Her career began after she earned her doctorate of osteopathic medicine from Touro University Nevada in Henderson. She completed a residency at East Lansing-based Michigan State University before a fellowship at the Sports Clinic in Laguna Hills, Calif.
4. Dr. Dizay serves as a team physician for UC Irvine, the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim and for Michigan State Athletics. She has also served as a physician at mixed martial arts, kickboxing and boxing events.
