About one year ago, Northwest Orthopaedic Specialists and Columbia Medical Associates, both located in Spokane, Wash., entered into a partnership to create the Northwest Sports Network, according to Spokane Journal of Business.
Here are four points:
1. The two organizations said the partnership has allowed them to offer patients increased access.
2. Northwest Sports Network offers various services, including concussion management; sprains, strains and fractures management; and treatment of overuse injuries.
3. Northwest Orthopaedic Specialists had been in operation for more than 60 years, with a focus on bone, joint and muscle problems. The group has three locations and opened an ambulatory surgery center in 2004.
4. Columbia Medical Associates operates nine clinics, with three clinics focused on treating sports injuries.
