Robert LaPrade, MD, treated Bucks star Jabari Parker's injured ACL on Tuesday, according to Fox Sports.
Here are four things to know:
1. Dr. LaPrade performed the surgery at The Steadman Clinic in Vail, Colo.
2. Mr. Parker, who suffered the injury in a game on Feb. 8, is expected to miss the rest of the season. His rehabilitation period is expected to be 12 months.
3. This is the second time Mr. Parker has torn his left ACL. The first injury occurred on Dec. 15, 2014.
4. Dr. LaPrade was awarded the 2013 OREF Clinical Research Award by the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the Orthopaedic Research and Education Foundation for his paper on treating posterolateral knee injuries.
