2. The Journal of Knee Surgery reports on orthopedic techniques of arthroscopy, arthroplasty and reconstructive surgery of the knee joint.

 

3. Peer-review articles, emerging surgical techniques, case studies, reviews and special focus sections are published in the periodical.

 

4. Dr. Barker, who has had six knee surgeries himself, says: "I am passionate about the latest advances in ACL surgery, cartilage restoration and the use of stem cell technology. Reviewing the latest articles prior to publication allows me to constantly be up-to-date in my knowledge base in this area."

 

5.    Dr. Barker is a team physician for the Carolina Hurricanes of Raleigh, N.C., and for NC State University men's basketball team in Raleigh.
