Orthopedic surgeon Rolf Langeland, MD, has joined Rhode Island's Newport Orthopedics.
Here are four things to know:
1. Dr. Langeland specializes in arthroscopic joint restoration of the upper and lower extremities and provides trauma reconstruction and reconstructive joint replacement, as well.
2. Newport Hospital President Crista F. Durand, said: "Dr. Langeland brings decades of surgical experience and specialized skills in shoulder and other joint replacement, as well as sports medicine, to the Newport community."
3. Dr. Langeland practiced with Connecticut's Orthopaedic Specialty Group for over 20 years before assuming his new position.
4. Newport Orthopedics is a Lifespan Physician Group practice and is part of the Providence-based Orthopedics Institute at Rhode Island, The Miriam Hospital in Providence and Newport hospital.
