Walt Lowe, MD, examined Texas Rangers outfielder Josh Hamilton's knee after the player felt sudden pain while participating in running workouts, according to St. Louis Post-Dispatch.
1. Dr. Lowe examined Mr. Hamilton on Wednesday, Feb 22, the day after the player initially felt the pain.
2. Mr. Hamilton, 35, had an MRI and a platelet-rich plasma injection in his knee.
3. Last June, Dr. Lowe performed Mr. Hamilton's third knee surgery in 10 months. The operation was the 10th knee surgery of Mr. Hamilton's career.
4. Mr. Hamilton returned to the Rangers' Arizona spring training camp on Thursday after no significant structural damage was found in his knee.
