Flushing-based NewYork-Presbyterian Queens became St. John's University's official care provider in January.
Here are four things to know:
1. Chairman of Orthopedics and Rehabilitation Jeffrey Rosen, MD, and Medical Director of Sports Medicine Justin Classie, MD, serve as head team physicians.
2. NewYork-Presbyterian Queens opened a new Orthopedic and Sports Medicine Center in June 2016.
3. The practice offers sports medicine, trauma, hand, upper-extremity conditions, foot and ankle disorders, joint replacement and spinal program treatments. All treatment options will now benefit St. John's athletes.
4. Dr. Rosen said, "Our practice is dedicated to serving patients in Queens, and providing physician services to the renowned St. John's athletics program allows us to deepen our relationships in the community."
