Marshall University School of Medicine welcomes Dr. Brock Niceler back — 5 details

Orthopedic Sports Medicine

Brock Niceler, MD, joined Huntington, W. Va.-based Marshall University Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine as a sports medicine physician, according to Huntington News.

Here are five things to know:

 

1. Dr. Niceler will offer care at Marshall Health's new Teays Valley, W.Va., location.

 

2. He has been appointed assistant professor of orthopedics at Marshall University.

 

3. Most recently, Dr. Niceler was sports medicine division director for Greenville, N.C.-based East Carolina University Physicians and previously served as head team physician at Salt Lake City-based University of Utah and Greenville, N.C.-based East Carolina University.

 

4. In addition to his sports medicine specialty, Dr. Niceler is trained in fluoroscopic injections, muscoskeletal ultrasound and osteopathic manipulation techniques.

 

5. Dr. Niceler graduated from Marshall University Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine before completing a family and community medicine residency at the University of Utah and a sports medicine fellowship at the University of Utah and an additional fellowship at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill.
