James Andrews, MD, of Gulf Breeze, Fla.-based Andrews Institute for Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine confirmed an initial diagnosis on Tampa Bay Rays pitcher Xavier Cedeno's left arm, according to CBS Sports.

1. Mr. Cedeno was placed on the 10-day disabled list on Friday, April 21, according to Tampa Bay Times.
2. His injury was initially described as left forearm tightness.
3. Mr. Cedeno saw Koco Eaton, MD, of St. Petersburg, Fla.-based Eaton Orthopaedics about his injury earlier this week, according to Rays' beat reporter Mark Topkin.
4. Dr. Andrews confirmed Dr. Eaton's initial diagnosis, finding that Mr. Cedeno won't need surgery, according to CBS Sports.
5. The pitcher is still expected to miss an extended period of time rehabbing.
