Campbell University School of Osteopathic Medicine in Lillington, N.C., recognized Philip Hoffman, MD, and Ryan Hudson, MD, for their achievements and contributions to the university's sports medicine fellowship.
Here are four highlights:
1. During their fellowship, Drs. Hoffman and Hudson were responsible for seeing patients in the university's health center, teaching in the osteopathic manipulative medicine lab, treating high school and university athletes and conducting research in the human performance lab.
2. While under the guidance of Andrew Martin, MD, Dr. Hoffman treated the U.S. Olympic ski team in Austria and Slovenia.
3. After practicing in family medicine for eight years, Dr. Hudson found interest in ultrasound guided treatment of athletes.
4. Dr. Hoffman is now creating the first sports medicine program at the University Hospital in Augusta, Ga.
