William Meyers, MD, performed a core-muscle surgery on Denver Nuggets' center Mason Plumlee, ESPN reports.
Here's what you should know.
1. Mr. Plumlee will return to basketball activities this summer and should be ready for fall training camps.
2. Dr. Myers is the founder of Philadelphia-based Vincera Institute, where he also provides care.
3. Dr. Myers worked with the U.S. National Soccer Team, the Miami Dolphins and various Olympic athletes. He has evaluated athletes from nearly every sport at every level of competition.
4. Dr. Myers has authored and co-authored 300-plus medical publications as well as several textbook chapters.
