Neal ElAttrache, MD, scoped the left knee of Oklahoma City Thunder center Paul George, The Oklahoman reports.

Here's what you should know.

1. Mr. George underwent the knee scope after dealing with a number of smaller injuries during the season.

2. It's estimated to take between six and eight weeks for Mr. George to recover.

3. Dr. ElAttrache is an orthopedic surgeon at Cedars-Sinai Kerlan-Jobe Institute in Los Angeles. He is chairman of the Kerlan-Jobe Orthopaedic Foundation board and program director for the Kerlan-Jobe fellowship.

4. He is the head team physician for the Los Angeles Dodgers and Los Angeles Rams. He is also an orthopedic consultant to the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, Los Angeles Clippers, Los Angeles Kings, Anaheim Ducks and the PGA Tour.
