Rachel Triche, MD, repaired the left medial malleolus of Los Angeles Football Club midfielder Mark-Anthony Kaye, ProSoccer USA reports.
Here's what you should know:
1. Mr. Kaye fractured his ankle July 26. Dr. Triche operated Aug. 6. Mr. Kaye will need up to six months to recover.
2. Dr. Triche is an orthopedic surgeon at Los Angeles-based Cedars-Sinai Kerlan-Jobe Institute.
3. She is a team physician for the U.S. Soccer Women's National Team, Los Angeles Galaxy and Malibu, Calif.-based Pepperdine University.
