Five orthopedic surgeons treated professional athletes in July 2019:

Keith Meister, MD, director of Arlington-based Texas Metroplex Institute for Sports Medicine and Orthopedic Surgery, treated Toronto Blue Jays closer Ken Giles.

Koco Eaton, MD, performed arthroscopic surgery on Tampa Bay Rays pitcher Blake Snell to remove loose bodies in his left elbow.

Thomas DiLiberti, MD, repaired the broken hamate bone in the right hand of Texas Rangers outfielder Joey Gallo on July 25.

James Andrews, MD, repaired the flexor tendon in Philadelphia Phillies pitcher Tommy Hunter's right arm.

Neal ElAttrache, MD, performed an arthroscopic debridement procedure on the left shoulder of Los Angeles Angels third baseman Zack Cozart.
