Evan Ellis, MD, surgically repaired the torn left labrum of Portland Trail Blazers forward Zach Collins Nov. 5, the team reported.
What you should know:
1. Mr. Collins dislocated his left shoulder in the third quarter of a game against the Dallas Mavericks Oct. 27.
2. The team expects Mr. Collins will need four months to rehabilitate from the injury.
3. Dr. Ellis is an orthopedic surgeon at Rebound Orthopedics & Neurosurgery in Vancouver, Wash.
4. He was previously on the medical staff for the St. Louis Rams and St. Louis Blues.
