Robert Anderson, MD, operated on San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Deebo Samuel June 18 to repair a fractured foot, NBC Sports reports.
Three things to know:
1. Dr. Anderson is an orthopedic surgeon specializing in sports medicine, foot and ankle reconstruction and total ankle replacements.
2. He practices at Bellin Health Titletown Sports Medicine and Orthopedics in Green Bay, Wis., which opened adjacent to Lambeau Field in 2017.
3. Mr. Samuel suffered a Jones fracture in his left foot training on June 16. He is expected to be sidelined for 12 to 16 weeks.
