Michelle Carlson, MD, operated on Charlotte Hornets' center Cody Zeller, repairing the fourth metacarpal in his left hand, the team reported Dec. 24.
Mr. Zeller broke his hand during a Dec. 23 game against the Cleveland Cavaliers. The team expects Mr. Zeller will need at least four weeks to recover.
Dr. Carlson is an orthopedic surgeon at New York City-based Hospital for Special Surgery. She is a hand and upper extremity specialist.
