Riley Williams III, MD, performed an anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction surgery on the right knee of Brooklyn Nets guard Spencer Dinwiddie, the team announced Jan. 4.
Mr. Dinwiddie will begin rehabilitating from the injury next week. The team expects he'll make a full recovery. He played in three games this season.
Dr. Williams is an orthopedic surgeon at New York City-based Hospital for Special Surgery.
He serves as the Brooklyn Nets and the New York Red Bulls medical director and head team orthopedic surgeon. He has also worked with the New York Mets and the New York Giants.
