Neal ElAttrache, MD, will perform elbow surgery on Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Dustin May.
The procedure, scheduled May 11 will end Mr. May's 2021 season, according to a May 3 report from the Major League Baseball. He injured his elbow after throwing a pitch in a May 2 game against the Milwaukee Brewers.
Dr. ElAttrache is an orthopedic surgeon, the Kerlan-Jobe Orthopaedic Foundation board chair and program director for the Kerlan-Jobe Sports Medicine Fellowship.
