DePuy Synthes launches degenerative spine disease implant platform

Surface Technology

DePuy Synthes launched its new Conduit Interbody Platform at the North American Spine Society meeting, Sept. 25-28 in Chicago.

Surgeons can use the platform to treat degenerative spinal diseases. The platform features 3D-printed implants for spinal fusion surgery.

Wilson Ray, MD, used the platform in both the lumbar and cervical spine. He spoke highly of it, saying, "The implant allows for superior visualization, virtually no scatter on CT scan and early fusion assessment as compared to other titanium interbody devices."

Johnson & Johnson, DePuy's parent company, said the Conduit Platform reaffirms the company's commitment to 3D-printed technologies.
