Emerging Implant Technologies' EIT Cellular Titanium Scaffold provides greater primary stability, less subsidence and similar fusion results to PEEK in combination with autograft, according to the results of the EFFECT trial.

1. EIT is a German medical device manufacturer focused on creating spinal implants with additive manufacturing.
2. The company's implants are made of 3D-printed EIT Cellular Titanium with a porosity of 80 percent.
3. The EFFECT trial is a prospective controlled trial evaluating the radiological results of 50 patients who received a single level standalone EIT Cervical Implant with no addition of biologics and no use of a plate or screw fixation.
4. Results at three months, six months and one year were compared to historical data of a patient cohort with single level standalone PEEK cages with autograft that evaluated the same outcome parameters.
5. All clinical parameters improved significantly at three months follow up for the EIT Cervical Implant cohort, with a slight improvement further over time. The results did not differ from the clinical outcome in the PEEK-autograft cohort.
6. The EIT Cervical Implant had a lower subsidence rate than the PEEK cage.
