1. Mr. Hunt founded the 3D-printed titanium company in 2008 after working for years in medical device and software sales, according to The Dallas Morning News. He claims the economy pushed him to start 4Web.
2. He did not raise any venture capital but received goodwill investments from industry professionals and consulting firms. Between 2012 and 2014, 4Web's revenue grew by 2,190 percent, leading Tech Titans to name it the fastest-growing North Texas company in 2015.
3. Mr. Hunt believes customized orthopedic implants are the future, and he envisions a turnkey solution 20 to 30 years down the road where patients can receive an implant the same day they come to the hospital.
