The FDA provided Astura Medical 510(k) clearance for its Alta anterior cervical corpectomy spacer system.
Four things to know:
1. The Alta Corpectomy has HA PEEK and acid-etched Ti surface options.
2. It is available in four axial footprints in heights ranging from 15mm to 50mm.
3. The spacer features a large central aperture for packing bone graft and to maximize contact between the implant and vertebral body.
4. Astura Medical will launch Alta Corpectomy, along with its systems for lateral interbody fusion, anterior lumbar interbody fusion and anterior cervical discectomy and fusion, in early 2020.
