Salt Lake City-based Amedica has signed an agreement with Kyocera Industrial Ceramics Corporation to manufacture medical devices from Amedica's Silicon Nitride biomaterial. Manufacturing will take place at Kyocera's Vancouver, Wash., facility. The collaboration includes the manufacturing of all FDA-approved Silicon Nitride interbody devices.
The deal will assist Amedica in meeting market demands. The company has sold 14,000 devices worldwide.
