Aliso Viejo, Calif.-based OrthAlign reported its full commercial launch of UniAlign.
Here are three highlights:
1. UniAlign is the first handheld navigation device for unicompartmental knee arthroplasty.
2. The technology identifies the "varus/valgus angle and the posterior slope angle of the cutting block relative to the tibia, for the transverse resection."
3. In simulated use testing, UniAlign has achieved resection accuracy of ±2 degrees in the coronal plan and ±3 degrees in the sagittal plane, with ±2 mm in depth.
