Chicago-based Medical Sales College partnered with virtual reality surgical training technology company Osso VR, becoming the first medical device educational institution to offer the technology, according to a LinkedIn post.
Here are three things to know:
1. Osso VR's surgical training platform is designed to offer highly realistic, hands-on interactions for immersive training in orthopedic and spine surgery.
2. Medical Sales College will implement the VR platform in its training programs for orthobiologics, orthopedic extremity, reconstruction and trauma as well as spine and sports medicine.
3. Osso VR's analytics dashboards are designed to provide feedback so students and administrators who use the system can look back and make improvements to their use of devices and technology.
