RTI Surgical Holdings' Fortilink Interbody Fusion Systems achieved 5,000 implants with TETRAfuse 3D Technology in the U.S.
Four things to know:
1. In October 2017, the company commercially launched its Fortilink-C IBF System for use in anterior cervical discectomy and fusion surgeries.
2. It was the first in a line of devices utilizing the company's 3D technology for patients with degenerative disc disease.
3. The TETRAfuse 3D Technology features a rough surface with antibacterial qualities designed to assist in fusion without compromising mechanical integrity or radiographic visibility.
4. The Fortilink-TS and -L IBF systems were later launched for use in lateral lumbar interbody fusion and transforaminal lumbar interbody fusion or bilateral posterior lumbar interbody fusion surgeries, respectively.
