Zimmer Biomet Holdings appointed Suketu Upadhyay to replace retiring CFO Daniel Florin.
What you should know:
1. Mr. Florin will retire July 1. He'll stay with the company in an advisory capacity to ensure a smooth transition.
2. Mr. Florin spent 12 years with Zimmer Biomet. Zimmer Biomet President and CEO Bryan Hanson had high praise for Mr. Florin.
"He is an outstanding leader and has made significant contributions to Zimmer Biomet over his 12 years with the company," Mr. Hanson said. "As we have worked together tirelessly to reshape the organization over the last 18 months, I have been impressed by, and grateful for, his leadership, as well as his advice and counsel to me personally."
3. Mr. Florin plans to focus on priorities outside his career and spend time with his family in retirement.
4. His successor, Mr. Upadhyay, has more than two decades of senior financial leadership experience. He currently serves as senior vice president of global financial operations at Bristol-Myers Squibb.
On his appointment, Mr. Upadhyay said, "I look forward to working with Bryan and the rest of the leadership team to strive to further enhance the company's financial and operational performance, and position Zimmer Biomet for continued success."
