NeuroRecovery Technologies merged with GTX Medical to form a new neurostimulation company, GTX Medical BV.
Four insights:
1. The company is developing therapies to improve functional recovery of patients with spinal cord injuries.
2. GTX Medical BV is designing an implantable spinal cord stimulation device with real-time motion feedback known as targeted epidural spine stimulation.
3. The company is also developing a transcutaneous spinal cord stimulation device to restore upper limb movement and hand function.
4. The Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation, a nonprofit focused on advancing spinal cord injury research, will be a shareholder in the company.
