Dominic Kleinhenz, MD, was reportedly the first spine surgeon in Rhode Island to implant the M6-C artificial cervical disc in a patient suffering from cervical disc degeneration.
Three things to know:
1. Dr. Kleinhenz practices with Providence, R.I.-based University Orthopedics, which has 11 offices in the state.
2. Orthofix received FDA approval for the M6-C in February 2019.
3. The device received the CE Mark in Europe in 2014, where there have been more than 45,000 implantations.
