FlareHawk cage shows favorable results without biologics, studies find

Spinal Tech

A series of articles published in the October edition of the International Journal of Spine Surgery have demonstrated favorable fusion results of the FlareHawk interbody fusion system without the use of biologics.

What you should know:

1. No reports of device subsidence were found in the study, which supports the implant's ability to conform to patients' endplate geometry.

2. The articles present clinical outcomes and discuss design features that may contribute to FlareHawk's efficacy.

3. The implant is the flagship product of spine device manufacturer Integrity Implants.

4. FlareHawk is intended for spinal intervertebral body fusion with autogenous bone graft and/or allogeneic bone graft composed of cancellous and/or corticocancellous bone in skeletally mature patients with degenerative disc disease following discectomy.
