Most physicians increased the number of patient they saw each day to help boost revenue at their practice, according to 2013 Physician Compensation Survey released by Physicians Practice.
The survey includes responses from nearly 1,500 physicians.
The top four steps taken by respondents to increase their medical practice revenue were:
• Increased the number of patients seen per day — 36 percent
• Taken on work outside of the practice — 26.5 percent
• Added ancillary services – 25.6 percent
• Started an in-house dispensary — 4.4 percent
