A majority of physicians report that none or little of their pay is tied to productivity, according to 2013 Physician Compensation Survey released by Physicians Practice.
The survey includes responses from nearly 1,500 physicians.
When asked how much of their compensation was tied specifically to productivity, respondents reported the following:
• None — 35 percent
• Up to 10 percent — 11 percent
• Between 11 and 25 percent — 7.2 percent
• Between 26 and 50 percent — 6.2 percent
• Between 51 and 75 percent — 4.6 percent
• More than 75 percent — 8 percent
• All of it — 28 percent
