Tifton, Ga.-based Tift Regional Joint Replacement and Spine Care Center was named a Blue Distinction Center by Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Georgia, the Albany Herald reports.

1. The center received the honor for its total knee and hip replacement programs.
2. The center is committed to helping joint and spine surgery patients recover their mobility.
3. The distinction is awarded to centers who show improved patient safety numbers coupled with better patient outcomes.
Centers must meet national quality measures to be considered a Blue Distinction Center.
