More patients have come forward with charges against an orthopedic surgeon who was arrested for alleged abuse at Americana Orthopaedics in Boise, Idaho, East Idaho News reported Dec. 17.
Stanley Waters, MD, was arrested Aug. 29 and charged with two misdemeanor counts of sexual battery. The allegations stem from two separate reports alleging he touched patients inappropriately.
Since, three misdemeanor counts of sexual battery were added, East Idaho News reported. In the most recent report, a patient accused Dr. Waters of grabbing her during a visit in September, days after he posted bail for his August arrest.
A spokesperson for Boise-based St. Luke’s Regional Medical Center told East Idaho News that Dr. Waters no longer has privileges at the hospital.
