Orlando Health Jewett Orthopedic Institute added artificial intelligence-assisted hip replacements, Positively Osceola reported Dec. 7.
The technology provides real-time feedback to improve precision and efficiency during surgeries, George Haidukewych, MD, director of orthopedic trauma, chief of complex joint replacement and academic chair, said in the report. It can also allow patients to go home the same day after surgery.
Orlando Health Jewett Orthopedic Institute is one of the first in the nation to offer AI-assisted hip replacements.
