State Republican Rep. Tom Weldon of Ringgold, Ga., announced that he will sponsor a bill in this session of the state legislature regarding pain management clinics, according to a report by The Catoosa County News.
The Pain Management Clinic Act, sponsored by Rep. Weldon, will require owners of pain management clinics to report the location of the clinic and conduct background checks on employees. It will also give more regulatory authority to the Medical Composite Board to issue regulations for pain clinics, according to the report.
