The first implantations of Exactech’s LPI Prime hip replacement system have been made. The system is designed to maintain the maximum amount of proximal femoral bone while still allowing for stability and biological fixation.
Orthopedic surgeons John Aldridge, MD, at Mary Immaculate Hospital in Newport News, Va., and Scott Dunitz, MD, at Tulsa (Okla.) Bone and Joint Associates recently implanted the device.
