Scott Katzman, MD, of Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.-based Orthopedic and Laser Spine Surgery, is now offering the Mobi-C Artificial Disc by LDR for the treatment of spinal pathologies.
According to Dr. Katzman, the motion-preserving artificial disc mimics normal human disc motion and is an excellent replacement device for failing fusions. Initially, the device was approved for single-level replacement, but the latest approval by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration includes two-level repair.
